The Framework supports three (3) methods of Letter Generation: On Demand, Batch Print and Outsource. Letters generated for Batch Printing accumulate in a queue and must be printed manually.
There are two reasons why generated letters appear in the Batch Letter Printing screen:
- A letter is sent during a Workflow and the Generation Type of the template has been set to Batch Print.
- A letter is generated via an Automated Queue.
The following columns display in the Batch Letter Printing page:

Column Name |
Description |
Type |
The level to which the letter is associated (Account, Case). |
Date Created |
The Date the letter was created in the Framework. |
Printing Letters
- Click the checkbox next to the Type column to select the letter(s) that is to be printed. Select the top checkbox to select all the letters at once.
- Click Print Selected.
- A screen appears showing that the number of letters selected were processed and completed. It displays the number of letters processed and the amount of time in seconds it took to process them.

- A message appears asking to verify that all letters have printed and uploaded to the server successfully. Click OK to verify that the operation has performed successfully. Click Cancel if the letters have not printed successfully.
- If OK is clicked, the following message appears indicating the printed letters have been removed from the queue. The Batch Letter Printing page refreshes automatically removing the letter from the page.

- If Cancel is clicked, the following message appears indicating the letters have been uploaded to the server but not cleared from the queue. If the documents did not print successfully, they can be printed again through the Batch Letter Printing page.

Within the Letter History screen on the workspace, the letter has a status of “Pending” when it is in the batch letter printing queue. End users are not able to open/view the letter until it is printed. Once the letter is printed it has a status of “Available.”
