Temenos Lifecycle Management Suite - Loan Origination Product Guide
Blacklist IP Addresses

The Blacklist IP Addresses page in System Management > Virtual Capture displays a list of all IP addresses marked as blacklisted by the Lifecycle Management Suite. Since Virtual Capture allows applications to be created from any location, and accessed by any person without face-to-face contact with the financial institution, blacklisting IP addresses helps eliminate fraud. With this functionality, institutions are able to prevent applicants with suspicious or unrecognizable IP addresses from applying for  loan products through Virtual Capture.

The Blacklist IP Addresses page displays IP addresses that have been automatically blacklisted by Virtual Capture or manually blacklisted by a Lifecycle Management Suite user.

Access to the Blacklist IP Addresses page and the ability to manually blacklist IP addresses is controlled by a permission set at the User or Security Group level.

Automatic IP Address Blacklisting

If an IP address meets the criteria defined for blacklisting within System Management > Solutions > Origination, the IP address is automatically blacklisted and added to the list within the Blacklist IP Addresses page. If IP address capture is enabled within Virtual Capture Settings, the applicant's current IP address is compared with this list and if the IP address is blacklisted, an error message is displayed to the applicant within Virtual Capture.

Manual IP Address Blacklisting

To manually blacklist an IP address, click  within the Blacklist IP Addresses page. In the pop-up window that appears, enter the IP address to blacklist.

Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported.

When finished, click . A message appears indicating that the IP address was successfully blacklisted. Click OK to close the message and return to the Blacklist IP Addresses page.

Deleting a Blacklisted IP Address

To remove an IP address from the Blacklisted IP Addresses list, highlight the IP address within the list and click . A message appears to confirm that the IP address should be deleted. Click Yes to proceed with the deletion.

A message appears indicating that the IP address was successfully deleted. Click OK to close the message and return to the Blacklist IP Addresses page.

Once deleted from the Blacklisted IP Addresses list, the IP address is no longer blacklisted and can be used to create applications in Virtual Capture, if the parameters defined on the Blacklist tab in System Management > Solutions > Origination permit.
