Income Interruption End Deferment Workflow Step

The Income Interruption End Deferment workflow step can be run to terminate an active deferment.

An income interruption can be ended individually with this workflow step as well as for an entire event through the End Event Deferments page in System Management.

To review the status of an Income Interruption, navigate to the Views list and run the Income Interruption view created by the system administrator.

Click the  icon within the Lifecycle Management Suite Ribbon to open the Views page. Locate the view within the list and click to highlight. Select Run to open the view.

The view opens displaying a list of all income interruption accounts as well as summary attributes such as Status and Account Number. The accounts currently in Income Interruption are identified by an ACTIVE status in the Status column.

Double-clicking an account with an ACTIVE status opens the person workspace to run the Income Interruption End Deferment workflow.

From the person workspace, navigate to the Workflows tab within the Left Navigation Panel and select the Income Interruption End Deferment workflow.

Upon making this selection, the workflow opens next to the workspace overview tab:

To begin this workflow step, select the end date for the deferment by clicking the calendar icon.

Within the Select a Letter box, select a letter to be sent to the account holder regarding the termination of their Income Interruption. This box contains all letters created by the system administrator.

The selected letter is generated and sent to the Batch Letter Printing after execution of the Income Interruption Export.

Add comments relevant to the Income Interruption within the Workflow Comments section and click Go To Next Step.

If this workflow step requires a user to confirm that the step has been completed, the I have completed this step checkbox must be selected before clicking Go to Next Step. 

Once the workflow is complete, it is recorded in the Workflow History and the following fields are updated in the Lifecycle Management Suite:

When an income interruption is ended through this workflow step, the Release Type field updates to Individual.

At the end of a deferment period, the Lifecycle Management Suite status is updated from Active to Released for the terminated accounts and a file containing those accounts is exported to the core system in order for institutions to reinstitute the accounts’ regular payment schedule.
