Contacts Screen

The Contacts screen displays contacts that are related to the person open in the workspace. From this screen users can add contacts to a person, add companies to a person, and delete existing contacts and companies.

Contacts displayed may contain the name of the contact, the relation to the person, address of the person or company, and e-mail.

ShowAdding Existing Contacts and Companies

To add a new contact or company, click the Add Contact or the Add Company button. A search window appears.

If searching for a contact that already exists in theLifecycle Management Suite, enter the person's first and/or last name in the search fields and click Search to search for existing contacts. If matches exist, they populate within the results grid.

If searching for a company that already exists in the Lifecycle Management Suite, enter the company's name in the search field and click Search to search for existing companies. If matches exist, they populate within the results grid.

Click to highlight the desired contact or company and click Select.

If creating a new contact, a window appears asking what the contact is related to and what role the contact has. Select the desired relationship and role from the drop downs and click Save. Click Cancel to cancel adding the contact.

If creating a new company, a window appears asking what the company is related to. Select the desired relationship from the drop down and click Save. Click Cancel to cancel adding the company.

The contact or company is added to the Contacts screen.

ShowCreating New Contacts and Companies

If no results are returned when searching for an existing contact or company, create a new contact or company by clicking the Create New button in the search window.

The New Contact or New Company window appears. Enter the contact or company information and click Save and Close.

If creating a new contact, a window appears asking what the contact is related to and what role the contact has. Select the desired relationship and role from the drop downs and click Save. Click Cancel to cancel adding the contact.

If creating a new company, a window appears asking what the company is related to. Select the desired relationship from the drop down and click Save. Click Cancel to cancel adding the company.

The new contact or company is added to the Contacts screen.

ShowEditing Contacts and Companies

If the desired contact or company exists in the Lifecycle Management Suite but their record contains outdated information, click to highlight the contact or company and click Select and Edit from the search window.

The contact or company window appears. Edit any necessary information and click Save and Close.

If editing a contact, a window appears asking what the contact is related to and what role the contact has. Select the desired relationship and role from the drop downs and click Save. Click Cancel to cancel adding the contact.

If editing a company, a window appears asking what the company is related to. Select the desired relationship from the drop down and click Save. Click Cancel to cancel adding the company.

The contact or company is added to the Contacts screen.

To edit a contact or company that is already on the Contacts screen, double-click on the contact or company record. The contact or company window appears. Edit any necessary information and click Save and Close. The information is updated on the Contacts screen.

ShowViewing Contacts and Companies

To view a contact or company listed on the Contacts screen, double-click on the desired contact or company name. The contact or company window appears.

From the contact or company window, additional details regarding the record can be viewed and edited. If any edits are made, click Save and Close to update the information on the Contacts screen.

ShowDeleting Contacts and Companies

To delete a contact or company, highlight the desired contact or company name on the Contacts screen and click the delete button.

 

Upon clicking delete, a confirmation dialogue box opens. Click Yes to remove the contact from the person record. Click No to retain the contact.
