IP address blacklisting can be configured by following four simple steps:
In order to view and edit information within the Blacklisted IP Addresses System Management screen, permissions must be granted at the User and/or Security Group level.
To set the Blacklisted IP Addresses permission:

The tracking of IP addresses is a component of blacklisting, along with preventing an applicant from using Virtual Capture from a blacklisted IP address. If an applicant attempts to access an application within an individual instance of Virtual Capture, and their IP address has been blacklisted, an error message is displayed. Both IP address tracking and the blacklisted error message are configured within Virtual Capture Settings.
To enable IP address tracking and configure the error message:

The Blacklist tab within Origination page contains two settings that support IP address blacklisting functionality. These parameters control the number of applications that are allowed from each IP address, as well as the number of days it takes to flag an IP address as blacklisted.

Automatic IP address blacklisting occurs once all of the blacklist-related settings have been configured in Virtual Capture Settings, and the Origination page. The Blacklist IP Addresses System Management screen provides administrators with the ability to view a list of IP addresses that have been automatically blacklisted, as well as the ability to manually blacklist IP addresses.

The appropriate permissions to the Blacklist IP Addresses screen must be granted at the User/Security Group level in order to view and/or create blacklisted IP addresses. Please see the Enable the Blacklisted IP Addresses Permission in Users/Security Groups section of this topic for more information. |
To manually blacklist an IP address:
