Branches allows institutions to define the attributes of each operating branch.
Branches are created for use in disbursement rules to determine which GLs are allocated, and the branch that gets credit for creating an application upon disbursement.

The Branches page is found in System Management > Branches. From this page, a system administrator can create new and maintain existing branches in Temenos Infinity.

Access to this page is granted in System Management > Users and System Management > Groups > Security Groups. |
Information on this page is displayed in the following columns:
Column | Description |
Code | Displays the code associated with the branch. |
Description | Displays the description of the branch. |
Default Flag | Displays a ![]() |
Last Modified | Denotes when the last modification to the branch was made. |
Modified By | Denotes who made the last modification to the branch. |
All branches share common attributes that are defined when creating, copying, or editing a branch.
General attributes are defined within the General tab:

Code |
Enter a code for the branch. This field is required and must be unique.

Description |
Enter a description to provide more information about the branch code. This field is required.

Device Name | Enter the name of the device created in the core system. This allows the system to determine where users are working. | ||
GL Clearing Account | Enter the name of the GL account used for the branch. | ||
Third Party Institution Code | Enter the third party institution code. | ||
Default Flag | Select this check box if the branch should be the default branch used in Temenos Infinity. |
