Lifecycle Management Suite Release Highlights - Loan Origination
Important Notes Regarding the Upgrade to 16

The following table outlines important notes that need to be considered during an upgrade to release 16:

Core Area of Lifecycle Management Suite Note
All IMM Connector

The IMM Lights Out functionality now includes a new DROPSPOTCLEANUP process that automatically removes files placed in the DropSpot Location Out directory. This process runs each day to automatically remove all files that are not locked or read-only from the DropSpot Location Out directory, if they exceed the time period configured for the new DropSpot Days To Keep Files parameter added to the IMM Connector page. After an upgrade, the DROPSPOTCLEANUP process is automatically enabled; therefore, all files are automatically deleted in the DropSpot Location Out directory according to the value for the DropSpot Days to Keep Files parameter. If the value for the DropSpot Days to Keep Files parameter is not updated from the default value of seven days, then all files are automatically deleted seven days after the upgrade.

For more information on this functionality, please see the Connector Enhancements topic in this guide.

All IMM Connector

The IMM connector has been enhanced to allow institutions upgrading from the 10.31 Lifecycle Management Suite release to determine how certain IMM tags are formatted in the document XML after an upgrade to 16. The XML Compatibility parameter that is available in the database can now be set to 0 to format IMM tags according to code changes made in the 15 release, or set to 1 to retain the existing compatibility settings that were established in the 10.31 release. By default, this parameter is set to 1 for all institutions upgrading from 10.31 to release 16 to ensure that the formatting of their IMM tags is maintained, and documents do not break after the upgrade.

Though this feature is being implemented for institutions upgrading from release 10.31 of the Lifecycle Management Suite to release 16, the XML Compatibility parameter existed in the 15 upgrade, and was set to a default value of 1; therefore, backwards compatibility with 10.31 formatting is automatically maintained for institutions upgrading to 16 from a 15 release. If an institution is performing a new install of the Lifecycle Management Suite in release 16, or a new install was performed in 15.01 or 15.02, the XML Compatibility is set to 0 as backwards compatibility with 10.31 formatting is not required.

For more information on the formatting associated with each XML Compatibility setting, please see the Connector Enhancements topic in this guide.

All User and Security Group Permissions for Search

In 16.00.06, the Search functionality is tied to user and security group permissions that allow system administrators to determine which users are able to perform a search and access workspaces in the Lifecycle Management Suite. During the upgrade to 16.00.06, the permissions are set as follows for each existing user and security group:

  • Origination Workspace Permission: Each User and Security Group is granted Change permission.
  • Workspace Permission: Each User and Security Group maintains the value that was configured for the  permission prior to the upgrade.
For more information, please see the User and Security Group Permissions for Search section of the New Configuration Tools in the Lifecycle Management Suite topic in this guide.

Upgrade Preparation

Prior to taking the 16.00 release, it is advised that institutions provide themselves sufficient time to review the following technical documents to prepare your institution for the upgrade:

These document are available on the Temenos Client Portal's Technical Documenation page.
