Lifecycle Management Suite Release Highlights - Loan Origination
Important Notes Regarding the Upgrade to 16.05

The following table outlines important notes that need to be considered during an upgrade to release 16.05:

Core Area of the Lifecycle Management Suite Description
All Dealertrack Deal Update Functionality When an application is submitted from Dealertrack, the system now reviews the XML to determine if a new application should be created, or the terms of an existing application are being updated. If desired, institution's can apply updates from Dealertrack directly to a decisioned loan application in the Lifecycle Management Suite using Dealertrack's Deal Update functionality. While the Lifecycle Management Suite supports the ability to accept deal updates from Dealertrack after the upgrade to 16.05, each institution must individually activate the Deal Update feature with Dealertrack in order to update their Dealertrack applications.
All Rules for HOEPA Coverage Tests For institutions with rules authored for HOEPA Coverage Tests: If rules including the Disclosure APR or Interest Rate Actual field have been configured for HOEPA coverage tests, those rules must be updated to include the HOEPA APR field in place of the Disclosure APR or Interest Rate Actual field. After an upgrade to 16.05, rules including the Disclosure APR or Interest Rate Actual field will not accurately calculate the HOEPA APR for Home Equity applications that include Teaser Terms.
All User and Security Group Permissions for Search

In 16.05, the Search functionality is tied to user and security group permissions that allow system administrators to determine which users are able to perform a search and access workspaces in the Lifecycle Management Suite. During the upgrade to 16.05, the permissions are set as follows for each existing user and security group:

  • Origination Workspace Permission: Each User and Security Group is granted Change permission.
  • Workspace Permission: Each User and Security Group maintains the value that was configured for the  permission prior to the upgrade.
For more information, please see the User and Security Group Permissions for Search section of the New and Enhanced in System Management topic in this guide.
All Verification of Service Root URL in Server Manager

For institutions with a load-balanced environment: In 16.05, an issue was fixed in Server Manager that caused the Service Root URL in the Application Services tab to not retain the URL configured for the previous install of the Lifecycle Management Suite, and revert back to the default URL for the server during the upgrade process; however, when upgrading from a release prior to 16.05, this issue continues to occur when an institution upgrades servers in the load-balanced environment that have processes installed with the application services or website. It is imperative that institutions verify that the load-balancer URL appears for the Service Root URL in Server Manager after the upgrade to 16.05 completes. Once an upgrade is run on a server in a load-balanced environment, and processes have been installed, the following steps can be performed to ensure the value of the Service Root URL is accurate after the upgrade to 16.05:

  • Open Server Manager.
  • Select the Application Services tab.
  • Review the value of the Service Root URL to ensure that the load-balancer URL appears for the parameter.
All Virtual Capture Settings

The 16.05 release brings many enhancements to the Virtual Capture Settings page, including updates to the Product Selection tab, and the addition of the Device Parameters tab. During the upgrade to 16.05, the system automatically reviews the current Virtual Capture Settings for an institution to add products to the Product Selection tab, and set default values for the large and small device settings in the Device Parameters tab in 16.05. For more information on the upgrade behavior of these tabs, please see the following sections of the Virtual Capture Enhancements topic in this guide:

Upgrade Preparation

Prior to taking the 16.05 release, it is advised that institutions provide themselves sufficient time to review the following technical documents to prepare your institution for the upgrade:

These document are available on the Temenos Client Portal's Technical Documentation page.
